Effective risk management is essential for protecting drivers, fleets, and the bottom line. This seminar explores strategies for accident prevention, safety program development, and regulatory compliance. Participants will learn how to identify and mitigate risks, reduce loss exposure, and build a culture where safety is a core value—helping organizations operate more efficiently while keeping drivers and assets protected.
PRESENTERS:
Kory Schultz is a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper serving in the Northeast Region and a graduate of the 62nd Recruit Class. Since joining the agency in 2017, he has built a strong reputation for professionalism and service on Wisconsin roadways. In 2021, Kory received the State Patrol’s Lifesaving Award for providing critical emergency aid to a shooting victim. His commitment to public safety and quick, decisive action exemplify the core values of the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Jordan Matuseski is a Wisconsin State Patrol Inspector known for his professionalism and dedication to public safety. He has served in multiple capacities within the State Patrol, including earlier work as a trooper. In 2019, Jordan received a Lifesaving Award for actions that directly contributed to saving a life. His service reflects a strong commitment to protecting motorists and supporting the mission of the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Sergeant Greg Venne is a longtime member of the Wisconsin State Patrol, known for his steady leadership and dedication to public safety. A graduate of the 50th Recruit Class, he has served in various roles throughout his career. Greg received a Meritorious Service Award for rescuing a driver from a burning vehicle during a 2004 crash in Dunn County. His service reflects courage, professionalism, and a strong commitment to the mission of the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Chris Kirby is a proven leader in transportation safety, compliance, and operations with over two decades of industry experience. As Senior Manager of Safety & Compliance at America’s Service Line, LLC (ASL), he excels at navigating DOT/FMCSA regulations, strengthening safety programs, and improving fleet performance. Chris earned his Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) designation in 2025 and serves on the NPTC Safety Committee and National Advisory Board. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he brings a unique blend of military discipline and corporate leadership to risk management and workplace culture.
Steven Stanaszak focuses on trial court litigation of catastrophic injury, disfigurement, wrongful death claims, and the defense of employment-related claims against employers. His litigation experience also involves coordinating emergency response accident investigation, reconstruction and evidence preservation, and comprehensive pre-suit claim analysis and valuation for catastrophic injury claims. Steve also assists employers with some of their most difficult staffing issues. Regardless of the type of claim, Steve focuses on assisting clients with an efficient and effective resolution of their disputes before and after a lawsuit is filed.
Thomas Gonzalez’s practice focuses on liability, cargo, and freight charge disputes. Tom has been representing the interests of the transportation industry for more than 20 years. He is a trial attorney who defends motor carriers, brokers and insurers against injury claims. He also applies his civil and criminal trial experience to clients’ cargo and freight charge disputes. His experience in the courtroom lets him counsel clients on avoiding litigation while also handling their matters at trial and through appeal if necessary.
Matt Olson, CPCU, serves as the Commercial Underwriting Supervisor at SECURA Insurance, bringing extensive experience in commercial underwriting and workers’ compensation claims. He holds both a BA from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. Matthew leverages his CPCU designation and broad industry background to guide underwriting decisions, support risk evaluation, and mentor his team. His well-rounded expertise and leadership help strengthen SECURA’s commercial underwriting operations.
