The Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association Foundation was established in 2001 to help educational and charitable causes in the state of Wisconsin. The Foundation’s mission is to advocate for the motor carrier industry through financial support of industry-aligned, charitable and educational organizations and individuals in or entering the trucking industry.
The Foundation generously supports the truck driving and diesel mechanic programs at Wisconsin technical colleges along with other charitable and benevolent organizations and causes. Each year, the Foundation hosts a fundraising event at Milford Hills Sport Hunt Club. All net proceeds are directed to the Foundation for said charitable causes.
Any eligible Wisconsin technical must follow these steps to be considered for scholarship funding:

The course instructor identifies a student or students who will graduate the class with a CDL or diesel tech certification.
- The instructor submits a scholarship request to the college’s foundation.
- The college foundation, in turn, submits an invoice for the number of checks requested and dollar amount to the administrator of the WMCA Foundation.
- The request is reviewed by the WMCA Foundation Board and approved.

A check is issued to the college foundation for distribution to the student(s).
- A letter of receipt of the scholarships from the college foundation is required.
- A thank you letter from the students that received the scholarships is standard practice and shared with the WMCA Foundation Board.
The WMCA Foundation is governed by a voluntary board with membership as follows:

The purposes of the WMCA Foundation is exclusively for charitable and educational within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The purposes shall be to sponsor or conduct such programs so as to foster a greater understanding of the many aspects of the trucking industry.
