Effective risk management is essential for protecting drivers, fleets, and the bottom line. This seminar explores strategies for accident prevention, safety program development, and regulatory compliance. Participants will learn how to identify and mitigate risks, reduce loss exposure, and build a culture where safety is a core value—helping organizations operate more efficiently while keeping drivers and assets protected.
PRESENTERS:
Chris Kirby is a seasoned leader in transportation safety, compliance, and operations, with over two decades of progressive experience in the industry. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Safety & Compliance at America’s Service Line, LLC (ASL) in Green Bay, WI, Chris brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge in navigating complex DOT and FMCSA regulations, optimizing fleet operations, and cultivating high-performing teams. He has a proven track record of enhancing safety programs and policies, along with minimizing risk, injuries, and downtime. Chris earned his Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) designation in 2025 from the National Private Truck Council (NPTC) and currently serves on the Safety Committee and National Advisory Board. Chris is also a U.S. Air Force veteran and served as a Security Controller. His diverse background, from military service to corporate leadership, equips him with a unique and practical perspective on risk management, regulatory compliance, and building a positive culture and collaborative work environment.
Steven Stanaszak focuses on trial court litigation of catastrophic injury, disfigurement, wrongful death claims, and the defense of employment-related claims against employers. His litigation experience also involves coordinating emergency response accident investigation, reconstruction and evidence preservation, and comprehensive pre-suit claim analysis and valuation for catastrophic injury claims. Steve also assists employers with some of their most difficult staffing issues. Regardless of the type of claim, Steve focuses on assisting clients with an efficient and effective resolution of their disputes before and after a lawsuit is filed.
Thomas Gonzalez’s practice focuses on liability, cargo, and freight charge disputes. Tom has been representing the interests of the transportation industry for more than 20 years. He is a trial attorney who defends motor carriers, brokers and insurers against injury claims. He also applies his civil and criminal trial experience to clients’ cargo and freight charge disputes. His experience in the courtroom lets him counsel clients on avoiding litigation while also handling their matters at trial and through appeal if necessary.
