The purposes of the WMCA Foundations are exclusively charitable and educational within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The purposes shall be to sponsor or conduct programs so as to foster a greater understanding of the many aspects of the trucking industry and its role in the free enterprise system. Examples include “otutreach” programs such as the “Wisconsin Road Team,” “Share the road with a truck” campaign, and other safety programs and anti-drunk driving programs. Also included would be scholarships to vocational schools or institutions of higher learning.
