Investigator Tony Dries, WI State Patrol
Investigator Tony Dries began his career with the Wisconsin State Patrol’s Motor Carrier Investigation Unit after spending 15 years as an industry professional. Tony previously served as a manager at a major semi-trailer manufacturer and led production teams in the manufacturing of dry vans, flat beds, containers, container chassis, grain haulers and trailer suspensions. In this position, he was involved in the roll-out and implementation of lean practices in manufacturing and product quality control.
Investigator Dries is certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to conduct safety inspections on commercial motor vehicles and to complete both audits and safety compliance investigations on motor carrier operations. Tony is heavily involved in training programs for both motor carriers and inspectors and he is certified to instruct enforcement programs at the national level. With his experience both in enforcement and industry, and having seen what can happen when safety processes break down, Investigator Dries is pleased to be part of the Wisconsin Motor Carrier’s Association’s recognition of our state’s top drivers.
