July – James Van Wagner, Skinner Transfer Corp.

James has been driving for 12 years, the last 7 with Skinner. If you ask James what his hobbies are, he will tell you trucking is his main focus and passion. He has more than 1 million accident-free miles. He donated his time in 2017 to take a load to Texas for Hurricane Harvey relief. For the entire year of 2023 he is donating 1 penny of every mile driving for WJJO Veterans’ Radiothon.
He lives with the love of his life, Amber, and her 2 children.
His coworkers call him the “Legend”.
August – Troy Porter, Your Town Transport
Hillsboro, WI.
Troy has been driving for 29 years, the last 23 with Your Town. He has 4 million miles and is a mentor for new drivers. He also assists the safety department. He assisted in a rollover accident where he stabilized the driver before the EMT arrived. He also noticed a driver’s brakes were on fire and assisted the driver in putting out the fire. He treats all drivers as family. Troy made a detailed packet of information to help with new drivers.
September – Pat Jones, America’s Service Line
Green Bay, WI.
Pat has been an over the road driver for 17 years, the last 11 years with America’s Service Line. Pat has 1.6 million accident-free miles. She is a mentor to new drivers and goes out of her way to help drivers no matter what they need. Pat is a Wisconsin Road Team Captain and has traveled all 48 states and enjoys meeting new people.
From the twelve Drivers of the Month, one will be selected as the 2023 Driver of the Year. All 12 Drivers of the Month will be honored at the Annual Safety Awards Banquet which will be held on Saturday, March 16th, 2023, at The Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, WI.
