 river Technology and overall Safety.  Attendees can expect high quality p
 resentations from industry experts including: Don Jerrell of HNI Risk Solu
 tions\, Gary Johnson of Lytx\, John Siedl of Insurance Risk Solutions\, Cl
 ifford Johnson of Acuity and others.  Topics include: Gaining Operations 
 Involvement\, Leveraging Technology and Data\, Safety Management Cycle vs.
  Vehicle Maintenance and more.  The day will conclude with a panel discus
 sion on Real World Risk Management Best Practices featuring a number of th

  Chad has worked in the Safety and Risk Management side of transportation 
 and insurance for almost 20 years.  Acting as the facilitator for this Se
 minar he has drawn on experts that he has met and worked with over those y
 ear.  Chad is a Senior Loss Control Consultant at Acuity Insurance\, the

 uy-in from operations?  Think again!  In this session we will focus on h
 ow to communicate with operations in their language.  We will also learn 
 how to make them accountable for risk management and compliance - a key co
 mponent for risk management\n\nCliff Johnson\, Acuity: Equipment Maintenan
 ce and how it relates to the FMCSA’s Safety Management Cycle\nThe Safety
  Management Cycle (SMC) is a system developed by the FMCSA that can help y
 our company identify weaknesses that can contribute to a specific loss\, c
 rash or violation.  The SMC will help identify root and secondary causes 
 or incidents.  This presentation will show how the SMC directly applies t
 o vehicle maintenance and show how the 6 steps of the SMC are interrelated
 .\n\nTom Bray\, J.J. Keller &amp\; Associates: Using data tracking and tre
 nding to prevent future crashes and violations\nPast performance is a stro
 ng indicator of future performance\, unless something is changed. In this 
 session we will look at data sources\, internal and external\, that carrie
 rs can and should be evaluating to see when their potential problem are We
  will also look at how\, and why\, to take action based on the data.\n\nGa

 river Safety Ecosystem in Today’s World\nThis presentation will help und
 erstand the balance between HME and the impact they have when addressing u
 nsafe behaviors\, company risk\, vehicle claims and determining the correc
 t safety technology.\n\nJohn Seidl\, Integrated Risk Solutions: Driver Dru
 g and/or Alcohol Use: Leading Indicators\, Proper Identification\, Prevent
 ion Techniques\, Appropriate Handling and Liability Pitfalls.\nDrug and Al
 cohol usage and/or possession by Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) drivers is
  often overshadowed by more frequent violations that adversely affect the 
 more common CSA Unsafe Driving\, Hours of Service\, and/or Vehicle Mainten
 ance basics.  When they do occur\, they can have a profound impact on the
  motor carrier from a liability standpoint as well as the Drug and Alcohol
  CSA basic.  This session will discuss various aspects associated Drug an
 d Alcohol Compliance\; from prevention of incidents to the proper handling
  when they do occur.  We will also discuss the ramifications of non-compl
 iance as it relates to FMCSA enforcement action and/or civil litigation.\n
