Drivers of the Month – 3rd Quarter

Larry Bjork- July

Larry Bjork has accumulated 3.4 million safe miles driven throughout his 28 year career as a professional driver. 2.7 million of those miles were driven with his current employer, WalMart Transportation, Menomonie. With zero accidents or citations, Larry is the perfect example of a safe driver.  Larry has been very active in the industry as a previous WI Road Team member and 5 axle van winner at ’93 WI Truck Drive Championship and even made the final standing that same year at Nationals. Larry lives in Menomonie, WI with his wife Lucy.


Paul Beran – August      

Throughout Paul Beran’s 33 years as a professional driver, he has driven 2.5 million miles without a single crash or citation. Paul has been driving for Golden State Foods for the last 18 years and while there he has been a model employee who exemplifies the values of their company.  He has been active in his community by working with local high school driver’s education programs. Paul also participates in several truck shows and even had a rig in the 1993 Shell Super Rig Calendar. He lives in Whitewater, WI with his wife Patty.


Robert Blau – September

Bob Blau began his career as a professional truck driver in 1987 and since then has driven 3.1 million safe miles. He has been driving for Skinner Transfer Corp since 2009 and was most recently awarded as a million mile driver for the company.  Bob served in the Army Reserves and the WI National Guard for 27 years and is seen as a hero in Skinner Transfer Corp’s eyes. When he is not driving a truck Bob enjoys playing with his three grandchildren along with hunting and fishing.  Bob and his wife SueAnn live in Baraboo, WI.

From the twelve Drivers of the Month one will be selected the 2017 Driver of the Year. These drivers will be honored at the Annual Safety Awards Banquet which will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel & Conference Center, Appleton Wisconsin.
