January – Wayne Buhrow, Walmart Transportation (Beaver Dam)
Wayne has been a professional truck driver for 34 years with over 3 million safe miles. Wayne was a member of the Wisconsin Road Team in 2014/2015. He is an active member on the Walmart Accident Review Committee and a Walmart Driver mentor since 2013. In 2017 he took 3rd place in the 5 axle sleeper berth for the Wisconsin Truck Driving Championship. Wayne has been a participant in the Wisconsin Special Olympics convoy. Wayne spends time off the road helping neighbors and friends with building projects, attending car shows and traveling with his wife, Lisa.
February – Jerry Severa, America’s Service Line (Green Bay)
Jerry has been driving for 50 years, with 4.5 million safe miles. For 26 years he was an owner operator. He has been with America’s Service Line for the last 12 years. He served in the Marine Corp for 4 ½ years. Jerry has been married to wife, Lori for 28 years. He has one daughter and 4 grandkids. He loves going up to his property in Crandon WI and spending time outdoors.
March – Kevin Tefler, Martin Brower (Whitewater)
Kevin has been a professional driver for 30 years. He has driven the last 20 for Martin Brower. He has over 2 million safe miles. Kevin was the 1st driver on the scene of a rollover crash. He provided immediate assistance to the victims and remained on sight until paramedics and law enforcement arrived. Throughout his 20 years at GFS/Martin Brower he has always volunteered for more work. Kevin referred his 22 year old son to drive for Martin Brower. He son’s professional attitude shows the example Kevin has set. Outside of work Kevin spends time with his 5 sons.
